About RetroVideoGames

RetroVideoGames is a game room for everyone who grew up with a controller in hand. Play new open-source games made for the classic consoles, play 80s arcade classics from the Internet Archive, load games you own for consoles from the 70s through the early 2000s, run DOS games, and find the fan-run servers that keep classic online games alive.

How it stays legal

Emulators are legal. Copies of commercial games and console BIOS files are not ours to share, so we don't host or link to them. The games on the Free Games tab are open source, and their licenses allow anyone to share them. Games you load yourself stay on your own device.

The Arcade tab plays games from the Internet Archive's Internet Arcade collection. They play inside a window from archive.org and aren't copied to or stored on this site. Each one links back to its page at the Archive.

The family

RetroCable for 90s and 2000s TV, and RetroJukebox for music videos.
